How to use Online Tutoring

How to use Online Tutoring (for online students only):- Email your paper as an attachment to wmccannjr0001@kctcs.edu.
- Email any and all instructions for the assignment (in other words, what kind of paper is this supposed to be? Has the instructor given you any special instructions? Has the instructor given you a handout detailing what she/he wants in the paper? Etc). If you do not apprise the tutor of instructions, you will slow the process down, as he will have to email you back to ask.
- The tutor, Mr. McCann, will engage in an email conversation with you about the paper. This is not an “editing service,” so please don’t just expect him to send the paper back with corrections.
- Mr. McCann dedicates a certain amount of time each week to online tutoring, but it is not his 24-hour-a-day job. Please be patient when waiting for a response. Remember, this is for students who are taking online courses. If you are not taking online courses, please visit one of our Writing Centers on Cooper, Leestown, Regency, Winchester, or Danville campuses. Also, if you would like to see the Writing Center offer online tutoring to non-online students, please email me so I can keep track of the number of people requesting the service.
The Lexington Public Library also offers a variety of online tutoring services to its patrons. For more information, visit www.lexpublib.org
