The opportunity to transfer is open to all BCTC students - regardless of program.
The research consistently shows that faculty and staff play a vital role in influencing students' educational aspirations. One small question, "Have you considered earning a bachelor's degree?" can change a student's life forever.
In a study of students from community colleges on both the east and west coasts, Pak et al (2006) found what we already know - that faculty and staff are essential in giving students the confidence and academic preparation they need to successfully transfer.
Encourage students to visit or contact the Transfer Center. We can provide information that can break down the common barriers of transfer.
