How many hours are considered full time?
Full time student academic status for the fall and spring term is 12 hours. Full time status for fall II and spring II is 6 hours. Full time for the summer four-week session is 4 hours, 7 hours for the six-week summer session, and 10 hours for the eight-week summer session.

What is the process for receiving an override into a closed class?
All overrides have to be approved, and signed by the instructor of the class. Override forms are available on the “Student Forms” page (
http://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/sa/registration/student_forms/) for the student to print, or the form is available at any BLC campus at the following locations:

Cooper Campus – Oswald Building, Room 203
Leestown Campus – C Building, Room 170, One-Stop
Winchester Campus – Lobby
Regency Campus – Room 120
Lawrenceburg Campus – Please see the campus Administration Office
Danville Campus – Please see the campus Administration Office

I have met the prerequisite for the class I am trying to register for. Why do I keep getting a prerequisite error message?
Unfortunately, Peoplesoft doesn’t always recognize prerequisites for various reasons. The Records Office at any campus will have to manually override this error message once it’s determined the prerequisite has been met. If the class was taken at another institution outside KCTCS, students need to provide prior transcripts showing how the prerequisite has been met.

How do I reset my Peoplesoft student account password?
Detailed information about resetting the password can be found at:
http://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/ol/accountaccess/

When I try to register for my classes I keep getting the error message “SA SELF SERVICE”. What does this mean?
The SA SELF SERVICE error message means your advising hold has not been lifted for the current term. All degree seeking student must meet with their advisor every semester. Information about advising can be found at http://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/sa/advising/.

How do I drop a class?
Detailed information about withdrawing from BCTC or dropping classes can be found at: http://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/sa/registration/withdrawalpolicy/
