Transfer Students
If you have previous college coursework from another college or university, you would be considered a transfer student. Applicants who have previously attended an accredited college or university and who have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 quality-point scale on all course work attempted will be accepted as transfer students.  If you have questions about the transfer application process, please contact us at 859.246.6210.

Transfer applicants must be eligible to return to the previous institution without an interruption of one or more regular semesters. (This means that transfer applicants must have left their previous college in good academic standing.*)  Transfer students accepted to Bluegrass Community and Technical College with a grade point average below 2.0 will be admitted on academic probation.

Transfer applicants must submit the following information:

• An application for admission.  The application for admission can be printed off the web here or submitted online here.

• Official transcripts of all previous college work.  Kentucky Community and Technical Colleges (KCTCS) official transcripts are not required, only official college or university transcripts outside of KCTCS.

Students applying for any health program should visit the Office of Admissions main web page.

* Students suspended from their previous college or university must sit out at least one fall or spring semester before being eligible to transfer into BCTC.
