Selective Admission: Nuclear Medicine

The process for applying has changed for the 2010 application year.  We are now going to a “Complete Application Packet” format.   Students must submit all documents below in one envelope to be considered for the program.  Even if you have applied before and/or are currently enrolled, we will need all documents resubmitted to the Office of Admissions, room 200 Oswald Building, Cooper Campus by February 15, 2010 for admissions to the fall of 2010 program.  Only complete packets will be processed and considered for the program.

Gather all of the documents required for consideration of the Nuclear Medicine program below and place in the large envelope provided:

• Print the Information Letter and the Letter of Intent Checklist below and submit the checklist with your packet

• Students who are currently enrolled in classes at BCTC as a "Nuclear Medicine Pending" student must submit a complete packet of all documents listed here.  Students who are not currently enrolled in classes at BCTC must fill out an application for admission and a complete packet of all documents.

• An official high school transcript or official passing GED scores, if student entered BCTC/KCTCS as a freshman. Transcripts must show a date of graduation.

• Official transcripts of all post-secondary education attempted. Transcripts must be submitted from EACH college or university previously attended and must show every period of enrollment.  Transcripts from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System do not need to be submitted.

• Attendance at an advising conference or an interview with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program Coordinator. Please contact the Program Coordinator at 859.246.6241 to schedule an individual conference.

• Documentation of eight (8) clock hours of observation in a Nuclear Medicine department. The Observation/ Work Experience Form is available below.

Please contact the Nuclear Medicine Program Coordinator at 859.246.6241 for information regarding facilities where eight hours of observation in a Nuclear Medicine department could be conducted.

Reminder: Incomplete packets will not be accepted.  Please turn in your packet to the Office of Admissions, Cooper Campus, by February 15, 2010.  Please allow 7-10 business days to process your application to the nuclear medicine program.  If you are currently enrolled, you will be able to access MyBin here to check on the status of your application.  If you would like to submit a GPA recalculation form please do that here.
