KCTCS President designates system search liaison person (SLP) and a college liaison person (CLP) to coordinate search with consultant.

April 11, 2007-

Campus survey distributed to identify additional selection criteria.    

July 19, 2007-

KCTCS President appoints local search advisory group (LSAG).  The purpose is to assist in the screening process and interviewing of the finalists.

July 26, 2007-

KCTCS President appoints Screening Committee (SC) to review list and identify recommended finalists. Composition of the (SC) will include representation from KCTCS Cabinet, Presidents/CEOs and the LSAG.        

July 26, 2007-

KCTCS President meets with SLP, CLP, LSAG, and consultant. The purpose of this meeting is to gather additional information for the recruitment profile, to educate the consultant about expectations of the college stakeholders, and to show a preliminary timeframe for the search process.      

August 3, 2007-

Applications are received and reviewed by SLP and KCTCS President, and copies are forwarded to consultant and SC.

August 17, 2007-

Consultant meets with SC to report on semi-finalists and SC selects individuals to recommend to LSAG as finalists. Names remain confidential until finalist list is released. 

August 24, 2007-

The LSAG will meet to review candidate files.

August 31, 2007-

KCTCS President, consultant, and SLP meet with LSAG to finalize to finalize recommendations for interviews.

September 7, 2007-

The finalists, recommended by the LSAG are confirmed by KCTCS President and forwarded to the Local College Board.  During confirmation of the finalists, consultant will carry out in-depth reference checks.

LSAG coordinates local interviews.

October 15, 2007-

LSAG provides input to KCTCS President on finalists. 

October 17, 2007-

KCTCS President selects candidates to go to the College Board for review.

October 24, 2007-

The Local Board provides recommendations on the finalist to KCTCS President

October 31, 2007-

KCTCS President selects the finalist for the position and makes an offer
