Associate Degree Nursing (RN)
Students applying for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing program are admitted through a selective admissions process. Please consult the Admission's Office selective health admissions page for complete information. Additionally, every applicant must attend one session of the Associate Degree Nursing Pre-Admission Conference. Associate Degree Nursing Selective Health Admissions Required Pre-Admission Conferences Lawrenceburg Campus Friday, October 23, 2009 Cooper Campus (All meetings from 1-3 p.m. in Oswald Building 230) Friday, September 25, 2009 Friday, November 20, 2009 Friday, January 29, 2010 Any student seeking admission to the AD nursing program must attend one session. Pre-registration is NOT necessary! Pre-nursing students on Cooper campus (those students not yet accepted into the program) must meet with a Pre-Nursing advisor during early or late advising periods to review course requirements. Students seeking admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program must have either an ACT or National League for Nursing PAX-RN exam score. Contact the Assessment Center (859.246.6669) for information and to schedule these exams. Attention Bluegrass Nursing Students Successful completion of a Nurse Aide (Medicaid Nurse Aide, Nursing Assistant I) course and state registry testing is required prior to admission to nursing programs at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. In order to begin nursing classes, you must show documentation of successful completion of a Medicaid Nurse Aide or equivalent within the past three years and proof of active status on the state Medicaid Nurse Aide Registry.
