Nursing Programs
With a nation-wide shortage of healthcare workers, the career outlook is excellent for the nursing field. In the present market, job opportunities for nurses in all areas are plentiful. Bluegrass Community and Technical College offers several options in nursing education. We have an Associate Degree of Nursing (RN) Program, a Practical Nursing (LPN) Program, and a Nurse Aide Program. We are currently developing many exciting projects which will enhance all our programs, including online learning opportunities, a Nursing Career Lattice Program, and a night and weekend ADN program which is began on our Lawrenceburg and Danville campuses in fall 2007. Many of these offerings are being made possible by grants we have recently received from the Bluegrass Area Development District (see press release) as well as one from the United States Department of Labor (see press release).
