BCTC Extends Fall 2009 Deadline for the Sleep Technologist Certificate Program

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 18, 2009) –  Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) students may still apply for the Fall 2009 Polysomnographic Technologist Certificate Program. Polysomnographic technologists, commonly known as sleep technologists, diagnose and treat sleep disorders. The one year certificate program teaches students entry-level polysomnographic technologist skills, such as operating sleep monitoring devices, creating clinical reports for physicians and attending to patients.

An informational conference about the polysomnographic technologist program and career opportunities will be held 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 in room 342 of the Oswald Building, 470 Cooper Drive in Lexington.  Students can also visit the program Web site for more information: http://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/ah/polysomnography_program/
