Back To School Is A Time For Celebration At BCTC

LEXINGTON, KY (August 21, 2008) – Another summer has come and gone and it’s time to get back to class at Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC). Fall 2008 classes at BCTC campuses in Lexington and in Danville, Lawrenceburg and Winchester-Clark County will begin Monday, August 25. Enrollment is up more than 10 percent this fall from 2007, setting the tone for a big opening day for students, faculty and staff.

To welcome students and celebrate the beginning of a new school year, the administration of BCTC will hold a series of ice cream socials. On Monday, August 25, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. treats will be dished out on the Cooper Campus. On Regency Campus the event will be held on Thursday, August 28 from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and at the Leestown Campus on Friday, August 29, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Danville Campus will hold their ice cream social on Wednesday, August 27, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Lawrenceburg Campus on Wednesday, August 27, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Winchester-Clark County Campus on Tuesday, August 26, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The socials are free and open to all BCTC students.
