Bluegrass Community & Technical College Introduces Home Inspection Training
LEXINGTON, KY (January 31, 2008) – A home inspector training class has been added to BCTC’s non-credit, community education course offerings for 2008.
Students will be trained to conduct a thorough home inspection and generate a detailed report disclosing the conditions of the roof, foundation, insulation, furnace and electrical components. Once a student has completed the course and necessary licensing requirements, they are prepared to join an established inspection firm or start their own business. This is a great experience for anyone who has an interest in homes and has an eye for detail.
This first-time offering was created in partnership with American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT), a national leader in home inspection training. The class can be taken online or in a traditional classroom setting. Tuition includes course materials and tips on how to start your own home inspection business.
The online training takes one to three months to complete. The seven-day course runs March 8-14, 2008, and will be held at Leestown Campus, 164 Opportunity Way, Lexington. Financing is available through AHIT. For more information and additional dates call 800-441-9411, or visit www.ahit.com/affiliates/bctcs/index.cfm. The AHIT training is approved by the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors (KBHI).
