Successful “Arts D’ Vine” Event Welcomes Large Crowd

LEXINGTON, KY (December 6, 2007) – Talon Winery & Vineyards played host to Bluegrass Community & Technical College’s (BCTC) “Arts D' Vine” on Saturday, December 1, 2007. The event that paired original art with award winning wine drew a crowd of about 800 people.

The 88 entries of original art included photography, oil paintings, and tile mosaics were from BCTC students, faculty, staff, and community artist. Smooth Jazz music was provided by Mark Gardner, BCTC music instructor. The BCTC Arts on Campus Committee organized the exhibition that raised $800 for future arts projects.

The overwhelming response to the “Arts D' Vine” exhibition resulted in an invitation to the college by Talon Winery & Vineyards to repeat as host next year.
