Place: BCTC Cooper Campus Lawn, 470 Cooper Drive, Lexington

LEXINGTON, KY (August 29, 2007) – Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) will hold its first annual Visual and Performing Arts Festival on Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will take place on the BCTC Cooper Campus lawn at 470 Cooper Drive in Lexington.

The Festival will feature some of Kentucky’s finest visual artist along with musical guest What Happened When, G. Wesley Houp, Kill Toby Wyatt, Lost Dog, Nick Schwarz, the BCTC Community Choir and The Tovars. The Lexington Actors Guild will perform scenes from its current production of “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” by August Wilson.

Artworks, jewelry, and photography will be available for purchase from various artists. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this free event.
