BCTC Holds Open Casting Call for Theater Production of Working, the Musical

LEXINGTON, KY (April 26, 2007) – Bluegrass Community & Technical College’s (BCTC) theater program will hold an open casting call for Working, the Musical. Auditions will be held on, April 30, 2007, and May 1, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., in the Student Center, Building C, at BCTC’s Leestown Campus, 164 Opportunity Way.

The casting call is for 12-14 women & men of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Candidates should bring their own sheet music to perform a one-minute musical selection. A cold reading from the script will also be required of candidates.

Working, the Musical, is based on the best-selling book of interviews from American workers by Studs Terkel.  Working explores the American workday from the Monday morning blues to the second shift, using the original words of some uncommon common men and women.
