Bluegrass Community & Technical College Commencement Exercises

LEXINGTON, KY (April 19, 2007) – Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) will hold commencement exercises on Sunday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lexington Civic Center, 430 West Vine Street, Lexington. The ceremony will recognize more than 1300 students from the class of 2007. Dr. Jim Kerley, President and CEO of the Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC), will preside over the commencement of graduates from the six BCTC campuses. 

Dr. Liu Yun, President of Changsha University, China, will be the commencement speaker. Dr. Yun holds a Doctorate of Philosophy with a research focus on world economics and higher education management. Dr. Yun’s visit is part of an eleven-year-old international cultural exchange established by BCTC.

Honorary Degrees will be presented to Dr. Liu Yun, President of Changsha University, China and Mr. Cecil M. Keeney, President/CEO of the Walle Corporation, Winchester.

BCTC serves 12,300 students at its six campuses in Lexington, Lawrenceburg, Danville and Winchester. The college offers transferable associate degrees, diploma, and certificate training.  Classes are available, days, evenings, weekends and on-line.
