Rockcastle County Student Scholarship Winner at Excellence Expo
LEXINGTON, KY (March 7, 2007) – Bluegrass Community & Technical College’s Danville Campus recently hosted an “Excellence Expo” for area high school students to compete in technical skills contests in the areas of allied health, electricity, machine tool, and welding.
Electrical Technology contestant Jacob Jones from Mt Vernon and the Rockcastle Area Technology Center was named the winner of the Electrical Technology Competition.
Contest winners were awarded tools for their trade and a scholarship to attend a three-hour course at BCTC.
High schools and area technology centers who participated in the “Excellence Expo” included Boyle County High, Casey County Area Technology Center, Lincoln County Area Technology Center, Harrodsburg Area Technology Center, Madison Area Technology Center, Marion Area Technology Center, Rockcastle Area Technology Center, and Garrard County Area Technology Center.
