Call for Submissions to the BCTC “Kickoff to the Arts” Week

LEXINGTON, KY (November 1, 2006) – If you are an aspiring visual or performing artist in search of a venue to display your work, here is your opportunity. Bluegrass Community & Technical College is putting out a call for submissions for their “Kickoff to the Arts”, a weeklong event being held November 13-17, 2006. The call for submissions for the college and the community at large is for both visual and performing artists.

The weeklong “Kickoff to the Arts” calendar of events will begin Monday, November 13, 2006 with a reception, at the performing & visual exhibition held in the Student Center of the Leestown campus from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The week’s events will culminate with award winning Kentucky author Silas House conducting a reading and signing of his books, which include Clay’s Quilt, A Parchment of Leaves, and The Coal Tattoo.
