LEXINGTON, KY (September 27, 2007) – For many executive assistants, taking minutes of meetings is a daily chore, but for Linda Winburn, it became a path to college. After eight years as an executive assistant for the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Development Authority and the Tourism Commission, Winburn began taking minutes at the Chamber offices when Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) began planning for a Winchester campus. 
LEXINGTON, KY (September 20, 2007) – According to the recent Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education’s 2006-07 Transfer Student Feedback Report, Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC), has the highest transfer rate of students to Kentucky’s four- year public or independent universities during the 2006-07 academic year among the 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community & Technical College system. 
LEXINGTON, KY (September 19, 2007) – Wade Flannery, an electronics student at Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) is a man of many technical talents. In fact the car he customized using those talents beat 460 other entries for Best of Show at the 2007 Trans Am Nationals. Flannery’s title earned him a feature article in “High Performance Pontiac Magazine”. 
LEXINGTON, KY (September 12, 2007) – Film students at Bluegrass Community & Technical College were greeted on the first day of the Fall 2007 semester by Jason Epperson, an independent film maker and finalist from the FOX television reality show “On the Lot”. 
LEXINGTON, KY (September 5, 2007) – Betty Lee Chumley bristles when she hears people say they are too old to go back and finish high school. At 80 years young and set to complete her GED she knows that is just not true. Her determination to get an education was recognized by the Kentucky Department of Adult Education at its regional conference where she was presented the region five “Learning for Life” Student of the Year Award.
