Library Instruction
BCTC librarians provide instruction in using library resources for research. Sessions can be tailored to specific assignments and classes. If possible, these sessions are scheduled in a computer lab environment for student hands-on experience. Cooper CampusTo schedule a Library instruction session, contact: Marcia Freyman at 246-6396 or fill out the form at https://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/?id=1652 All Other BCTC CampusesTo schedule a Library instruction session, contact: Steve Stone at 246-6387 or fill out the form at http://www.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/lrc/bibext/ If instructors would like their students to have a library tour, an audio taped tour is available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. This tour takes approximately 15 minutes and is accompanied by a question form to be filled out by the student. It is then graded and can be turned in to the instructor. A number of Research Guides are also available for students to learn the necessary information literacy skills of how to formulate research strategies and use various databases. Contact Marcia Freyman (x56396) or Steve Stone (x56387) if interested. A copy of Basic Goals for Information Literacy. |
