SOFTWARE PURCHASES

Faculty and staff may purchase individual copies of the Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 suite of applications for home use. The cost of the Work at Home (WAH) license is $5.00. The purchasing process is as follow

  1. BCTC faculty and staff must visit the Cooper or Leestown Business Office to purchase software. Per KCTCS policy, the employees in the Business office at these two locations are the only employees eligible to handle cash receipts. See Barb Young at the Cooper campus or Pat Hiatt at the Leestown campus.
  2. The Business Office staff collects $5.00 from the BCTC employee. A personal receipt is issued.
  3. The user must complete the Microsoft Campus Agreement 3.4 - Work At Home Acceptance Form.
  4. Employee takes receipt and completed User Agreement to their respective campus IT director’s office:
    • Cooper/Regency campuses: Chad Hayes
    • Leestown/Winchester/Georgetown/DEC campuses: Debbie Shambro
    • Lawrenceburg/Danville campuses): Mike Miller
  5. The IT Director verifies the completed receipt and collects the User Agreement. The employee is issued a single copy of Office 2007 Professional edition and the receipt is returned to the employee for their personal records. If you have any other questions, please contact your campus IT Director.

HARDWARE PURCHASES

Dell offers a student discount through the Dell University Program.
