Institutional Research
Office MissionThe Office of Institutional Research provides the timely, accurate reporting of data and information to all units of the College and to external entities as needed. Its primary purposes are to facilitate the collection, analysis, and interpretation of institutional data and to provide information to support strategic planning, decision making, and the greater mission of Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Role and Purpose of the OfficeThe Institutional Research office is responsible for the management of Bluegrass Community and Technical College institutional data through the PeopleSoft data system. This includes extracting and supplying data for internal processes such as enrollment management, campus extension, strategic planning, and program reviews. The office functions as a resource for collecting information from faculty, staff, and students regarding the programs and services provided by the College to identify models of success and areas for improvement. It also serves as the College’s point of contact for reports and surveys requested from governmental and commercial agencies (e.g., U.S. Department of Education IPEDS reports, Center for Post-Secondary Education, Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), and Carl D. Perkins Grant funding). Goals for 2007-2008:1. Continue to close communication loop for obtaining and reporting information.
2. Expand use of external data sets for informed decision-making.
