Welcome to the Home Page of the Humanities Division of Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Faculty in the division offer a wide variety of courses in Art, Art History, Creative Writing, English Composition, English as a Second Language, Film Studies, Journalism, Literature, Non-fiction Writing, Music, Philosophy & Logic, Theater Arts, and Women's Studies. We also offer a Filmmaking Certificate Program. Humanities courses offer an opportunity for you to round out your education, learn more about the complex world we live in, and encounter ideas, concepts, and world views very different from your own. On these pages you will find information about the classes we offer, the degree requirements that they satisfy, and what you can expect to study in these classes.
Humanities classes satisfy a number of degree requirements. To find out how these classes might fit your degree requirements, print out a copy of the AA/AS/AFA degree worksheet, found here.
This spring we are offering several new courses. Check out the link at left to find out more!
