Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) Foundation was formed in 2005 under the guidance of Alan Stein, the Foundation’s first Board Chair. The Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of BCTC, supporting its mission by securing financial support from donors. Through comprehensive programs and services, BCTC sustains a strong partnership with the community to improve economic vitality and quality of life in the region, constantly striving to fulfill its mission to transform the Bluegrass – one student at a time, one employer at a time, and one community at a time.
Perhaps furthest-reaching of the Foundation’s current initiatives is the new campus on Newtown Pike, which broke ground in August. State funding has been secured through a major advocacy effort over the past few years. However, much more will be needed to fund the project through completion. The BCTC Foundation will lead the effort to revitalize the north end of Lexington with a beautiful and accessible campus for Central Kentuckians to enjoy long into the future.
