BCTC's Total Managed Print Solution (TMP), implemented in September 2011, is a comprehensive solution intended to increase access, improve quality, seek continuous improvement and efficiencies while reducing costs and our environmental footprint. It is a new way to think about how the college prints, copies, scans, faxes, and purchases equipment and related supplies.

BCTC has partnered with Konica-Minolta to build a long-term strategy to manage and enhance our print environment. TMP provides numerous benefits which result from utilizing new technologies and sophisticated equipment. Benefits include:

• Improved budgetary control

• Allows IT to focus on IT – not printer repair
• No minimum clicks – we only pay for what we print

How does Total Managed Print (TMP) work?

Konica-Minolta, our TMP partner, provides certain services and equipment including:

• Equipment: Laser Printers & Multi-Functional Printers (MFP's)
• Service: Konica-Minolta provides service to all devices (Lasers and MFP's)
• Supplies: Konica-Minolta provides all consumables except paper
• Accountability: Konica-Minolta provides programming and support of the uniFLOW tracking software
• Recycling: Konica-Minolta is a zero land fill company providing recycling
• Cost per Click: Konica-Minolta only bills BCTC for pages (clicks) printed. No minimum clicks are built into the lease!

BCTC is an environmentally responsible organization and, as such, participates in a recycling program for its used toner cartridges and toner tubes. Additional information regarding BCTC’s toner recycling may be accessed at: BCTC Toner Recycling.
