The HIT Selection Committee will make selection of students for the program. Four Item may receive selection preference:
Notification of admission status will mail out to each candidate before June of each year. Each student will need to make an appointment to set up class choices.

General Academic Standing (GPA)
If the applicant has completed 12 or more college credit hours with a 2.5 or above (remedial or developmental courses do not apply), then the committee will utilize the cumulative college GPA for points assessment.

Prerequisite Courses
Applicants who have completed BIO 137 AND CLA 131 Medical Terminology from Greek and Latin OR AHS115 Medical Terminology OR OST 103 Medical Office Terminology with a “3.0 or better.
