Library Information Technology

The Spring 2009 Semester LIT classes begin Monday, January 12, 2009.

Priority registration for current students is November 3-21, 2008.

Bluegrass Community & Technical College offers online undergraduate library science courses. The courses lead to the:

  • Academic Certificate in Library Information Technology
  • Associate of Applied Science in Information Management & Design with the Library Information Technology Option.

The courses satisfy the library experience and paraprofessional certification levels for Kentucky public library employees. In addition, they satisfy re-certification requirements for all levels of Kentucky public library certification.

We welcome students from all over the world and from all types of libraries.

All students, in-state and out-of-state, pay a single tuition rate of $121 per credit hour, $363 per three hour course. In addition, all students pay a $30 security fee. Most classes have required textbooks. Students age 65 and older may register as Donovan Scholars with a full tuition waiver.

All LIT classes are completely online.
