Courses within this program are taught via interactive television or ITV for short.   In this format lecture courses are given by an instructor at one of our three sites.  Students at the other sites are able to hear the lectures and interact with the instructor using video equipment established for these classes. 

Each location has its own laboratory facilities and lab courses are taught by the on site instructor. These instructors are Ms. Chitti in Prestonsburg, Ms. Strong in London, and Ms. Ritchie in Lexington.  Each of these instructors is a Certified Dental Assistant with a combined experience of over 20 years teaching in this unique manner.

Additional courses are taught by faculty in the Hygiene program as part of the integrated curriculum. 

Because of the distance learning nature of this program there is a heavy use of e-mail and the internet for communication and the distribution of course materials.
