Bluegrass Community & Technical College supports all service members, veterans, military spouses and dependents by providing them an affordable and convenient quality postsecondary education. We accept all GI Bills, GoArmyEd, Kentucky National Guard Tuition Assistance, MYCAA and the Kentucky Tuition Waiver. BCTC offers more than 40 programs of study that can lead to high-wage, high-demand careers, all of which are approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs. BCTC has six campuses within a 30-minute drive of 95% of Central Kentuckians with flexible class schedules and online course options. Our Military and Veteran Student Services Center offers on-campus support and provides referrals to tutoring, counseling, disability and career services. A free online application is available for all students.

BCTC's VetSuccess on Campus Coordinator, Carlton Hylander, is located at the Leestown Campus every Tuesday and Wednesday. You can reach him for an appointment at or (859)246-6678. The student should direct all questions concerning VA benefits to the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) at 1 (888) 442-4551. BCTC does not issue your payment; this is completed by the Department of Veteran Affairs. BCTC certifies your enrollment only.

VA regulations may change from time to time, so it is important that the student maintain regular contact with the DVA. Failure to report changes in student status may result in the individual's being held liable by the VA for any overpayment. It is imperative that the student read and closely follow the guidelines adapted from VA regulations found online at
