National Poetry Month (April) is a time to honor the many contributions and achievements of poets throughout the world. The Bluegrass Community and Technical College Learning Resource Center is celebrating this important month with the following activities and materials:
Introductory Information Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month (NPM) brings together publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, schools, and poets around the country to celebrate poetry.. Thousands of businesses and non-profit organizations pcelebrate this month with readings, festivals, book displays, workshops, and other events.
Christina Lovin poetry reading Friday, April 11th, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Cooper Campus Learning Resource Center.There will be a reception at 2:00 p.m. and the reading will start at around 2:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free in the C lot at the front of the Oswald Building after 2:00 p.m. on Fridays.
