WELCOME TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES

International students are welcomed at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC).  It is an ideal place to begin your education in the United States.  Our large selection of academic and technical programs, quality instruction, and low tuition rates offer international students superior academic opportunities and a unique cultural experience in a friendly atmosphere

BCTC is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.  Many of the courses offered at BCTC are in the same first and second level courses offered at most universities in the state and nation.  BCTC is a comprehensive community college where students can earn the two year Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree and the credits transfer to four year universities.  Also offered are many vocational and technical training programs. The Form I-20 is issued to perspective students to obtain the F-1 or M-1 student visa.

ADVANTAGES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS STUDYING AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE:

·        Easy, open admission policies

·        Wide selection of academic and technical programs

·        Supportive learning environment with small classes

·        Low cost tuition

·        Credits fully transferable to other colleges and universities

Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s main campus (Cooper Campus) is located in the heart of the city of Lexington, Kentucky.

Cooper Campus is adjacent to the University of Kentucky, Leestwon and Regency Road campus nearby.   We have three other campuses conveniently located throughout the region:  Danville, Lawrenceburg, and Winchester.  Together, these six campuses make up one outstanding community college serving  more than 12,000 students.
