Stacy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She then earned a Master of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville studying the maternal behavior of five-lined skinks.

Stacy enjoys movies, hiking, and hanging out with her husband, 3-year-old son, and 10-month-old daughter.
