Welcome to the website for the Developmental Studies area at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. The Developmental Studies area offers courses in developmental English, developmental reading, and strategies for academic success.

We offer the following courses:

• RDG 20 Improved College Reading
• RDG 30 Reading for the College Classroom
• ENC 90 Foundations of College Writing I
• ENC91 Foundations of College Writing II
• CMS 185 College Reading
• GEN 102 Foundations of Learning
• RDG 20, RDG 30, ENC 90, ENC 91, and CMS 185 are courses that fulfill mandatory placement requirements.

Both GEN 102 and CMS 185 are excellent electives for incoming freshman.
