Open Enrollment 2016

Attention: Check your home mail, inbox and BCTC E-Nouncement for upcoming Open Enrollment information. The Department of Employee Insurance (DEI) will be mailing passwords to participants' home addresses.

Welcome to the BCTC Human Resources' webpage guide for 2016 Open Enrollment. Our enrollment period will be October 12th -26th. All employees need to answer the questions below to determine whether or not you need to take action for this Open Enrollment. 


You MUST enroll in PeopleSoft Self-Service if you want to:

  • Change your health insurance plan, coverage level or dependents in any way;
  • Enroll in a new General Purpose or Dental/Vision Only health insurance waiver;
  • Keep your current health insurance waiver;
  • Enroll in a healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2016;
  • Enroll in a dependent care FSA for 2016;
  • Enroll in a new dental insurance plan;
  • Change your current dental insurance plan, coverage level or dependents in any way;
  • Drop your current dental insurance plan entirely;
  • Enroll in the $50 Benefit Allowance, if eligible.

You MUST enroll in KHRIS if you want to:

  • Change your health insurance plan, coverage level or dependents in any way;
  • Enroll in a Standard plan for 2016 because you failed to complete your LivingWell Promise in 2015.

Please note: FSA, and HRA elections from 2015 will not automatically roll-over; you must renew your elections for the 2016 plan year.

Important Information about the $50 Benefit: All employees will need to pre-plan for your $50 Benefit Allowance election with assistance from HR during one of the Open Enrollment sessions (October 12th -23rd). In November, you will receive an email notice if you qualify to enroll in the $50 Benefit Allowance. The $50 Benefit Allowance enrollment election must be completed in e-Benefits (Self-Service/PeopleSoft) beginning in November to participate in 2016.
