Rules Committee

The BCTC Rules Committee consists of faculty members elected by each college division.  The committee charge is to serve the college by performing the following functions:

  1. Codify the Rules of the Faculty of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College;
  2. Recommend to the Faculty Council, who is delegated to act on behalf of the faculty, upon request or upon its own initiative, any changes of the Rules of the Faculty of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College;
  3. Evaluate the Rules of the Faculty of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College to meet new conditions;
  4. Identify time periods for all terms for the College academic calendar that are consistent with the Rules of the Faculty of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College;
  5. Interpret the Rules of the Faculty of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College, and document and distribute these interpretations;
  6. Manage the election for the faculty positions delineated within these Rules of the Faculty of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College;
  7. Consider proposals for changes in the Rules of the Senate of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and make recommendations to the Faculty Council, who is delegated to act on behalf of the faculty, for action; and
  8. Perform other responsibilities as delegated to it by the Faculty or Faculty Council.
