The Bluegrass Community and Technical College Advanced Manufacturing Center located in Georgetown offers many advantages for students looking for a challenging and rewarding career including a work/study program, the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) Program, with local manufacturers such as the Toyota.
Classes and lab work are held in a manufacturing-style learning environment. From the very first class, students learn on equipment very similar to the machinery they will find at their future work site. The classroom is similar to a manufacturing floor and includes the familiar sounds of a working manufacturing site. The opportunity to learn skills in the real environment trains the student in how work is done.
