There are also grants and financial aid available. Students needing assistance with tuition must start the process by completing an application on the fafsa.gov website. Students intending on applying for financial aid are encourage to apply early. For more information click on the KCTCS Financial Aid page.
Students are responsible for tuition at BCTC's current credit hour rate plus any fees. The program course load is usually 12-18 credit hours per semester. Students work 24 hours a week at the sponsoring manufacturer's facility. Participating manufacturers have their own compensation package and any tuition reimbursement, rate of pay, raises, etc. are based on the policies of the individual manufacturer. Students must maintain a “C” or higher in all classes to be retained in this selective program.
